“After losing two classmates in a car accident, I found myself taking driving more seriously. I want to be a part of something that helps people, like myself, realize the dangers and reconsider their actions without having to learn by the cost of someone else.” – Breanna Fanta
Q: If you could change one thing about the way your friends drive/ride in the car, what would it be?
A: If I could change one thing about the way my friends drive, it would be their overall outlook on driving and hopefully change the way they handle themselves behind the wheel. Most youth my age don’t understand that driving is a privilege and that there can be permanent consequences. For my friends, I feel as though they forget how much can be lost within a moment of looking away or “kidding around.”
Q: Why are you involved in Teens in the Driver Seat®?
A: I am involved in Teens in the Driver Seat because driving is sometimes taken for granted and people forget or don’t understand how the extent of their actions behind the wheel can cause a chain of life changing reactions. After losing two classmates in a car accident, I found myself taking driving more seriously. I want to be a part of something that helps people, like myself, realize the dangers and reconsider their actions without having to learn by the cost of someone else. Teens in the Driver Seat allow individuals to do just that by informing others and encouraging safe driving.
Q: In five words or less, describe yourself.
A: Hardworking, selfless, creative, driven, encouraging.
Q: What do you want to be when you are older?
Q: What are your hobbies?
A: Writing, reading, researching, hanging with friends.
Q: If you could do anything in the world or go anywhere, what/where would it be?
A: I have a lot of aspirations but in the end, I want to travel, learn while doing so, and share stories as well as information in hopes of leaving my foot print on the world, inspiring others, and opening the public’s eyes to things that they may not have known or considered before.
