Youth Transportation Safety Summit

Join us for our next Youth Transportation Safety Summit where youth traffic safety ambassadors and highway safety professionals can come together to learn about the latest highway safety research, best practices, and strategies used to combat risky young driving behaviors. 

This event will provide a national platform with various engaging traffic safety-related workshops and sessions, in Texas. The Summit program is designed to engage youth leaders, injury prevention specialists, non-profit organizations, and local and state governments.

This year’s theme is Moving Forward Together. Don’t miss this opportunity to hear about the state of youth traffic crashes and meet the next generation of leaders in safety.

When: November 10, 2023

Where: San Antonio Marriott Riverwalk (889 East Market Street San Antonio, Texas 78205)

Hotel Information:

Accommodations have been arranged at the San Antonio Marriott Riverwalk for our use at the group rate of $124. Please use this link or the block name, Texas A&M Transportation Institute to reserve your room for the summit. All hotel reservations must be received by October 27, 2023, or before the room block is sold out.

Event Parking will be $25.00 Valet Services for the day of the event, parking is based on availability.

Attendees will be responsible for securing their own room and any charges at the time of the event. Limited travel reimbursement funds are available for schools. Requests will be considered on a first-come, first-served basis. Please contact your regional rep for details.

All-Star Activity Showcase

The YTS Program is looking for great, new activity ideas to add to our All-Star Rewards Program. We always love the amazing and unique activities our schools come up with, so we’d love for you to present them to your peers at the summit.

Submit and present your school’s activity to be graded by the attendees. The top 3 winners will receive prizes and have their activities officially included in the All-Stars program!

Q: How much is registration?
A: Registration for our YTS Summit is free for all attendees.  

Q: What is the deadline to register? 
A: Online registration closes November 3, 2023, but you can register in person on the day of the event.

Q: Does registering for the YTS Summit guarantee a hotel room?
A: No, attendees must book their own travel. Please refer to the Hotel Information. 

Q: Is there a fee to park at the Marriott Riverwalk?
A: Yes, the Marriott Riverwalk charges $25.00 Valet parking per day.

Q: What is there to see and do in San Antonio?

Q: What do I do if I need to cancel?
A: If you already registered, but can no longer attend our event, please contact Rubi Mares, [email protected]. If you have booked your hotel reservations already, please contact the hotel to cancel your reservations. Attendees will be responsible for canceling rooms they have secured prior to the event and will be responsible for paying any hotel fees.
