
Great news, the Georgia Safe Teen Driving Summit will be back this year!
Don’t miss this opportunity to learn more about the state of youth traffic crashes, how to build your program, and connect with other like-minded attendees across the state. This year’s agenda will include a tour of the Georgia Southern University campus!
- We are asking teams to limit students to 10 per school. Please see Travel Reimbursement Guidelines below for travel stipend information before registering.
- All attendees must be registered – this includes presenters, partners, and all adults within the party who will be attending the Summit. To cancel registration, please email Rubi Mares, [email protected].

Travel:
- Travel Stipends are available for schools! Please review the Travel Reimbursement Guidelines before registering for all details.
- Teams who are located over 60 miles are eligible to be reimbursed for hotel rooms (see guidelines linked above) for the night of September 17, 2026. Holiday Inn, 455 Commerce Drive, Statesboro, is offers a State Government rate of $110.00/room. To book call the hotel at 912-489-4545 and ask to speak to Travia Palmer and ask for the state rate. You may also book online and request the Government / State Rate of $110. Make sure you supply your School ID and Tax Exempt Form when you check-in to the hotel.
Parking:
- GSU parking is free for the day of the Summit (September 18, 2026). You must register your vehicle before arriving. Watch for a Know Before You Go email with information and a registration link, sent about a week before the event.
- Buses must park at the Rec Center (see map above). Drivers may then take the campus bus to the IAB (we will post the bus route soon) to join the Summit. Drivers may also utilize the IAB lobby.
To Know:
- Chaperones must stay with students the entire day. Staff cannot be responsible for students.
- Students must have a photo release form. These can be digital or paper (emailed, faxed, or hand-carried).
