Zero Crazy!

Zero Crazy! contains two separate activities: seat belt and distractions. Your active team can participate in both! The activities include:

  • pre-observations
  • 3 weeks of activities/messaging
  • post-observations to get a picture of the problem and again to see if your team made a difference

You have the whole semester to complete the activity and as long as we get everything back by the due date, we’ll send your team a $100 gift card!

Junior High Schools can participate!

TDS All-Star points are awarded for completing both observations and returning them, plus you get your normal points when you complete activities and report them. Once all observations are returned your team gets a $100 gift card (sent out twice per school year) to celebrate your accomplishments. Each Zero Crazy completion is worth 15 points, but if you complete BOTH Zero Crazy activities, you will earn 10 bonus points and $200 in gift cards!

2020-2021 Zero Crazy Schedule

Zero Crazy Seat Belts and or Zero Crazy Distractions can be done any time during the year, but must be completed by MAY 3, 2021. If completed before APRIL 2, 2021, you will receive points towards the 2021 All-Stars. If completed between APRIL 2, 2021 and MAY 3, 2021, points will be applied on the next (2022) All-Stars.

Once you begin the activity, the entirety should be completed in 6 weeks and activities (shift the crazy) should focus on the activity message of seat belts OR distractions.

When can our team expect the gift card?

After the activity has ended, we will request the gift cards (patience with our business office 🙂 ). Activities completed in the Fall are sent out in January and Spring gift cards are sent in May.

Gift cards are sponsored by:

Submission Information

Please sign up for and complete one, then when your team is ready, come back and sign up for the other.

Please Review and Agree to all Instructions Below

Because we use this information in reports and teams are awarded cash and All-Star points, we must ensure the quality of the information collected during this activity. Please review each instruction and agree to them. If activity forms are late or incorrect, your school may be disqualified from receiving the gift card and/or All-Star points. If you have any questions, please email them to [email protected]

Pre- and post-observations must be returned before the deadline to receive the gift card and TDS All-Star points. Activities (during step 2) must be reported by the school. Zero Crazy activity points are automatically given once both pre- and post- are received (no activity report is required).

i.e. no signs, warnings, or speaking to drivers or passengers.

I have watched the observation instruction video and will have the observation team also watch it.

Forms will be emailed to you with instructions based on your school type on file. If you are a junior high or are a high school that does not have many teen drivers, please use the junior high form for both observations. If you are a high school, please use the high school form for both observations. If you need the correct forms (i.e., you are a high school, but need junior high forms), please let your TDS representative know.

This will give us a good sampling of the habits at your location.

1) Don't guess. 2) Use the same vehicle count for both observations. 3) Use the same team and location for both observations. 4) Make sure everyone knows how to take counts.
