Let’s Create Some Social Media Content

High School Activity
Collaborate with our YTS social media coordinator to create social media content.

 Items Needed

  • Approval from the YTS Social Media Coordinator
  • Cell phone or other recording device
  • TDS-approved idea or script
  • REQUIRED – All teens who are working on this project must have parents complete a photo and video release form: https://www.t-driver.com/releaseform/

 Steps

  1. Let us know you’d like to participate by emailing [email protected] (copy your advisor) with your idea(s). You will hear back from us with questions, approval, or to coordinate a time to chat.
  2. Once your final idea or script is approved by TDS, participating students create:
    1. A 1–3 minute video
    2. At least 10 pictures connected to a risk or available topic.
  3. Any student names appearing on the post or video should be given to TDS – this can be uploaded on the activity form. All students who appear MUST complete a release form found here: https://www.t-driver.com/releaseform/
  4. The student lead sends final file(s) to the TDS Social Media Coordinator for final approval along with the names of the students appearing and any updated social media handles (for school and participating students) so that they can be tagged when the content is uploaded.
  5. Upload the final images or video to our Dropbox.
  6. Complete an activity form for TDS All-Star credit.
  7. Participating school receives All-Star credit once social media content has been approved by TDS Social Media Coordinator and all forms (including release forms) have been received.
  8. TDS will tag your team and the post can be shared, re-posted, or quoted.

Don’t Forget

The goal of this activity is to share your voices and ideas to help other young drivers and passengers better understand traffic safety.

 Make it GREAT

  • Involve more students and create content for each of the risks or available topics and receive separate credit for each of those risks.
  • Get inspiration from some of our previously created content:
