Gissele Enriquez, C.C. Winn High School, December 2019 Teen of the Month

“Whenever I get in a car with my friends, I honestly worry…we are young and bound to make mistakes.” – Gissele Enriquez

Q: If you could change one thing about the way your friends drive/ride in the car, what would it be?
A: Whenever I get in a car with my friends, I honestly worry. For the reason that we are young and bound to make mistakes. They always tend to have their music playing on blast and aren’t fully focused on the road. What I would encourage them to do is have their music playing in a lower volume and have their phone turned off to be fully aware of the road and their surroundings.

Q: Why are you involved in Teens in the Driver Seat®?
A: I am involved in Teens in the Driver Seat because this is an amazing way to spread awareness of better driving for our young high school peers. Along with school spirit, this will inform our young Eagle Pass drivers and encourage them to get involved as well.

Q: In five words or less, describe yourself.
A: Energetic, Talkative, Enthusiastic, Cooperative, and Caring.

Q: What do you want to be when you are older?
A: When I’m older I hope to finish college at Texas A&M and be working as an OB-GYN. Diagnosing and preventing medical conditions that may affect women their children. This will be my way of giving to our society by doing something I love.

Q: What are your hobbies?
A: I love playing golf! It’s my way of relaxing and spending time outdoors playing with my friends.

Q: Who do you look up to?
A: My mother; for she pushes me and motives me to always do my best. She has made me the person I am today, and has taught me to always be independent and make my mark.

Q: If you could meet five famous people, who would they be and why?
A: If I could meet five famous people I would want to meet Beyonce; because she empowers women and her music spreads positive messages. Selena Gomez; for she has never given up despite her Lupus she has always moved forward and spreads body positivity. As well as Michelle Wei, for she is an amazing golf player who along the way has encountered her struggles although manages to beat her obstacles and has won multiple championships.

Q: If you could do anything in the world or go anywhere, what/where would it be?
A: I have always wanted to go to Brazil; so I can experience the different culture and environment.
