Nayeli Rodriguez, C.C. Winn High School, October 2018

Meet Nayeli from C.C. Winn High School in Eagle Pass, Texas.

If your life had a soundtrack, what songs would be on it?
“You can’t always get what you want”- The Rolling Stones , “Don’t Stop  Believing” – Journey & “Humble & Kind” – Tim McGraw

In five words or less, describe yourself.
Responsible, Hardworking, Funny, Open Minded & Motivated

Who is your favorite celebrity?
Jennifer Lawrence

Who do you look up to?
My Mother

What are your hobbies?
My hobbies consist of reading, dancing, traveling, swimming and socializing

Where do you see yourself in five years?
In five years, I see myself hopefully in a nursing program studying to get my degree and become a Registered Nurse.

If you could meet five famous people, who would they be and why?
I would like to meet Steve Jobs because I would like to ask him how he was able to become so successful. I always wanted to meet Selena Quintanilla, I grew up listening to her music and always looked up to her. Ellen Degeneres is also another famous person I would like to meet because of her strong influence and way of helping others. One of my favorite idols is Harry Styles, his caring and selfless personality is one of the main reasons why I would love meeting him. He always spreads positivity and preaches equality.

What do you want to be when you are older?
I want to be a Registered Nurse when I get older.

If you could do anything in the world or go anywhere, what/where would it be?
If I could go anywhere I wanted I would go to Cancun. I’ve seen pictures and heard stories from my parents and it sounds absolutely mesmerizing.

If you could change one thing about the way your friends drive or ride in the car, what would it be?
If I could change one thing about the way my friends drive and ride in the car is that they should wear their seat belt at all times, even in the backseat.

Why are you involved in Teens in the Driver Seat®?
Over the years there has been multiple tragic accidents in our town. In a search to raise awareness, Student Council decided to adopt this organization and promote it in our school. I am involved in TDS because after seeing the effect it had in our school I decided to be a part of this great organization too.
