Grant Stoehr, Conroe High School, March 2018

Meet Grant from Conroe High School in Conroe, Texas.

In five words or less, describe yourself.

Intelligent, Determined, Compassionate, Courageous, Adventurous

Who do you look up to?

My Father and Ben Roethlisberger

What are your hobbies?

Playing Soccer, spending time with family, and reading

Where do you see yourself in five years?

I see myself getting ready to graduate college with a job lined up for myself, and I see myself getting ready to take on the real world, to take on responsibility.

What do you want to be when you are older?

I want to be a psychologist so that I can help other people to figure out what is causing their mental stature. I also want to help people become better so that they aren’t afraid to go out into the world.

If you could do anything in the world or go anywhere, what/where would it be?

If I could go anywhere, then I would go everywhere because I’m very passionate about learning about all cultures and learning how they work and why they are the way they are. I would also travel everywhere so that I can see the beauty that is unbeknownst to the rest of our world.

If you could change one thing about the way your friends drive or ride in the car, what would it be?

I would change the way they ride by telling them to not be so distracting to the driver. They could change how distracting they are by not constantly asking their friends and other to “look at this” or “do you see that”. They could also be less distracting by not continually turning up and blasting the music in a car so that the driver can focus on the road.

Why are you involved in Teens in the Driver Seat®?

I’m involved with this program because I enjoy learning how I can prevent crashes. I am also involved because I want to continually keep my friends in line by showing them the dangers of distracted or drunk driving and the resources that Teens in the Driver Seat offers help me to show just how real all of these dangers are.
