For the 19th year in a row, Teens in the Driver Seat has partnered with sponsors to offer a contest where students can create and submit entries encouraging their peers to drive safely. We’d love to get your feedback on the best of the student submissions!
The instructions given to the students were simple: Entries should address traffic safety by focusing on the risks teens face behind the wheel or as a passenger – distractions, nighttime/drowsy driving, speeding, low seat belt use, impaired driving, pedestrian/bike safety, and/or driving around large trucks. Students had 3 ways to participate: TDS program shirt design idea, safe driving social media reel, and PSA video on the risks of speeding.
The entries below have been through one round of judging. You may see all rules here.
The winning shirt designs could be used to create an updated design for our Teens in the Driver Seat high school program shirt. The winning reel will be posted and highlighted on our social media channels. The winning PSA video will go on to be re-produced by an Emmy-award-winning director courtesy of the National Road Safety Foundation.
We invite you to take a look, note the NUMBER of your top 2 choices (1st and 2nd), and complete the voting at the bottom to submit your favorites!
Please do not share any entries at this time.
Please submit your votes by 3/10/2026.
