“In a split second your life can change…SEAT BELTS CAN SAVE YOUR LIFE.” – Yurico Peña

Q: Why are you involved in Teens in the Driver Seat®?
A: There’s so many teens with little knowledge of the dangers of unsafe driving and it’s scary to even think someone passing over this tragedy. A few years ago a family friend past away in a car accident. In a split second your life can change and we need to follow all safety precautions to avoid tragedies like this. It doesn’t only affect you but it will also leave long terms effects on your loved ones. SEAT BELTS CAN SAVE YOUR LIFE.

Q: If you could change one thing about the way your friends drive/ride in the car, what would it be?
A: One thing I would change is engaging with the driving process. You’re putting yourself at risk and the bystanders around you. Which could cause a fatal outcome.

Q: In five words or less, describe yourself.
A: Friendly, understanding, and loving.

Q: If your life had a soundtrack, what songs would be on it?
A: Cheap Thrills – Sia, Shut Up and Dance – Walk the Moon, Soul Sister – Train, and, If Tomorrow Never Comes – Garth Brooks

Q: What do you want to be when you are older?
A: A Homicide Detective or a Pre-K teacher.

Q: What are your hobbies?
A: I love watching movies, going out with friends, and listening to music.

Q: Who do you look up to?
A: My mom.

Q: If you could meet five famous people, who would they be and why?
A: G-Eazy, Dove Cameron, Zendaya, Lizza Koshy, and Ellen. They all use their platforms to shed some light to some important causes. One thing I love about each one of them is that they never use their downfalls as a setback. They use it to their advantage and they come back stronger.

Q: If you could do anything in the world or go anywhere, what/where would it be?
A: I would love to go to Pompeii, Italy. I’ve always loved history and the stories of ancient life and to be able to walk through the ruins of that era would be a dream.
