Kendal Burks, Ore City High School, March 2021 Teen of the Month

If I could change one thing about how my friends it would be their use of cell phones while driving.
Kendal Burk, Age 17

Q: Why are you involved in the Teens in the Driver Seat® program and what do you like most about being a part of the team?
A:
I’m involved in TDS, because I like most about being a part of a team that is educating others on driver safety.

Q: If you could change one thing about the way your friends drive or ride in the car, what would it be?
A: It would be their use of cell phones. The facts and danger are out there, but we are not listening. We have to put our phones down when we are behind the wheel.

Q: Where do you see yourself in five years?
A: In five years, I see myself in graduate school in hopes of becoming a physical therapist.

Q: Who do you look up to?
A: I look up to Jesus because if I walk like him in everyday of life then I will be the best possible person.

Q: What would you say to inspire other teens to care more about safe driving/traffic safety?
A: I would give them eye opening facts.
