“…is picking up your phone to check a snap, a text or an Instagram post really worth the risk of your or someone else’s life?” Grace Holt AGE 15

Q: Why are you involved in the Teens in the Driver Seat® program and what do you like most about being a part of the team?
A: I want to reach out to students my age and let them know the dangers of distracted driving. The thing I like the most about being a part of this team is that I am able to help other teens learn about the consequences of dangerous driving.

Q: If you could change one thing about the way your friends drive or ride in the car, what would it be?
A: For them to stay off their phones while driving! Their lives are so much more important than a phone!

Q: What hashtags would your best friend or person you are closest to use to describe you?
A: The five hashtags my friends would describe me as would be #Confident, #alwaysthereforyou, #amazing, #caring, and #compassionate.

Q: What’s the biggest life lesson you’ve learned?

A: Always telling your loved ones “I love You” before you hang up the phone because you never know if this could be the last time that you talk to that person.

Q: What would you say to inspire other teens to care more about safe driving/traffic safety?
A: I would say: is picking up your phone to check a snap, a text or an Instagram post really worth the risk of your or someone else’s life?
