Lock-In with Community Partnering

Work with a local business or your school to host a lock-in on one of the most dangerous nights of the year for teen drivers, such as graduation or homecoming. Find sponsors, like a local pizza joint to donate food and drinks. This definitely takes some time and planning, but make sure you think about local partners when looking for activities and help. Partnering with other school organizations can help you get this done more easily. Plus, keeping students off the road during dangerous times will be a great incentive for administration, police departments, and emergency management services.

Here’s a great guide on planning a lock-in.
