“Teens, we are the change our roads need! With TDS, we have the capacity to make this change all across the U.S.”
Paola Barron, age 17.
Q: Why are you involved in the Teens in the Driver Seat® program and what do you like most about being a part of the team?
A: I’m in this program because it is a great awareness program and what I like the most about being a part of this team is that we are the change and we do this change across the United States because we are all from different places.
Q: If you could change one thing about the way your friends drive or ride in the car, what would it be?
A: I’d change the way of putting their phones in the middle of the car or take it away because they are always on their phone.
Q: Where do you see yourself in five years?
A: In five years, I see myself in medical school and achieving an M.D. degree and going to fellowships to be an anesthesiologist.
Q: Who do you look up to?
A: I look up my mom because when she sets her mind to it, she achieves it.
Q: What would you say to inspire other teens to care more about safe driving/traffic safety?
A: I will spread a message that reminds people: you are someone’s daughter/son, family member and you wouldn’t want to cut your life short just because you were irresponsible.
