2. Where do you see yourself in five years?
In 5 years I see myself as a senior at Texas State University, getting ready to pursue my long dream of making a difference in children’s lives by becoming a Pre-K teacher. I am very encouraged in making a difference in anyone’s life.
3. What do you want to be when you are older?
I would like to pursue my dreams of majoring in Early Childhood & Development and becoming a Pre-Kindergarten teacher.
I am in a Ready, Set, Teach program at Burnet High school, where I attend a pre-k class monday thru thursday and help with the students.
4. If you could change one thing about the way your friends drive, what would it be?
Changing the way my friends drive would definitely be a big deal. Most students don’t realize what the five risks are. I would definitely tell them to put their seat belts on, and lower the distractions such as: texting, too many passengers, and loud music. Just because your not driving doesn’t mean you don’t have a voice. Speak up and let the driver know you don’t feel safe. Rather be safe than sorry, right?
5. Why are you involved in Teens in the Driver Seat®?
Teens in the Driver Seat has definitely gave me a better outlook on being a teen driver. We have lost many students every year at Burnet High school, due to automobile accidents. When i saw this booth, the first thing i said to myself was, “this would be great for BHS.” Sure enough i made it happen, i like making a difference in peoples lives, not only is this program helping my outlook, but other teens as well.
