When you’re behind the wheel – No eating. No makeup. No texting or talking on your cell.
If you can do it for a week, you can do it for the rest of your life.
October 5th through 11th is Heads Up Driving Week across America. It’s a week when all of us should put away distractions – every one of them – while driving. We’re not just talking about cell phones, because ANYTHING that takes your attention away from driving can hurt or kill you and your friends.
About 8,000 crashes happen every day because a driver stopped focusing on the road. And while distractions are a danger to EVERY driver, they are especially dangerous for young drivers because of inexperience.
We all think that we’re busy, so we try to do too many things at once. But think about it. Is that phone call or text going to change your life? No, but it just might end it.
