Dude! Halloween is on a Friday this year. Bags of candy, crazy costumes and late night horror movies, it’s going to be EPIC! But that also means every kid and their moms are going to be out on the streets tonight. It’s going to be packed everywhere. So let’s run through some quick and easy tips so you can help baby goblins safe:
- Neighborhoods are going to be packed with kids, cars and bicyclist. Slow down and keep an eye out for pedestrians. Don’t get too distracted by the funny costumes.
- Be super careful around areas with a lot of parked cars. Watch out for little super heroes that can’t be seen, they might be on a sugar rush and forget to stop, look, or listen before crossing.
- Watch out for pedestrians everywhere, not just at intersections.
- Yield to princesses, knights and other pedestrians.
- Don’t pass stopped vehicles; they may be dropping off dragons and sorcerers.
- Use your signals and actively communicate with other drivers.
- Mask, shields and heavy armor can totally impair your vision and movement. Don’t place anything over or around your eyes that may distract you or block your view while driving. Watch for other Knights who may have a hard time seeing you. It may be safer to take your armor with you and get dressed at your final destination.
- Keep distractions out of the car and pay full attention to your surrounds. The candy can wait until you get home.
