Teens in the Driver Seat is teaming up with the Houston-Galveston Area Council (H-GAC) to bring you the first ever Houston Area Regional Roundup to recruit new TDS schools in the Houston area.
The Roundup will be held on Saturday, April 18, from 9 a.m. to noon, at the H-GAC office. The purpose of the Roundup is to increase awareness about safe teen driving and encourage schools to start TDS programs. With major events coming up such as prom, graduation and the summer holidays, roadways will be busier with teen traffic, and staying safe will be even more important.
What’s going on at the Roundup? Local high schools that already have the TDS program in place will speak about how they are working to increase awareness on the five major crash-risk factors. There will also be time to brainstorm ideas for the 2009-2010 school year.
The Roundup is free, but those interested are encouraged to register at t-driver.com.
Come learn new ways to spread the message, mingle with TDS teams and have a good time learning how to fight the number one killer of teens in America. Check out t-driver.com for more information.
