The second annual Teens in the Driver Seat® Day at the Capitol was a huge success. The 2009-2010 TDS Outstanding Schools were awarded their plaques, the 2009-2010 Teen Advisory Board had their last meeting and ushered in the 2010-2011 Teen Advisory Board, and the amazing teacher/sponsors who won SponStar awards, received their trophies.
The day also included a news conference, announcing the findings of a Texas Transportation Institute study, Shedding light on the nighttime driving risk. TDS Director Russell Henk, Texas Representative Larry Phillips, and Teen Advisory Board members Ashley Thompson and Fernando Sosa announced the findings of the report.
