The rate of fatal teen crashes is declining faster and more steadily in Texas than in any other state, thanks in part to a growing program that uses peer communication to reduce the dangers for young drivers, according to a new study. Read the news release.

The Teens in the Driver Seat Day at the Capitol planned for May 4 has been cancelled. On Wednesday the commissioner of the Texas Education Agency and the governor noted in their press conference that it is not responsible to bring students together from all over the state, given the current health environment and concerns related to swine flu, so TDS has followed suit in cancelling the event.
