Speeding
I will never forget the day I bought my brand new 2008 Honda Civic. It was my first car and I remember sitting in the Honda dealership and watching Michael Phelps break the record for most gold medals won at the Olympics.
Driving home that night I felt a new sense of freedom but this feeling didn’t last very long. A week after getting my car I was driving to class and was running late when I heard the sirens and saw the flashing lights behind me. The sheriff informed me that I was going seventy on a fifty five and asked for my license and insurance. It was then that I realized I had forgotten my I.D. The total ticket came out to around $220. I guess I get the gold medal for most expensive ticket. That’s $220 I could have spent on something I really wanted.
I learned my lesson and now when I feel like I am speeding I use my cruise control. I love technology.

One of the things I do in order to prevent me from speeding is to always, always, always try to leave 10 minutes before. That way I go at the speed limit and not rush myself.
