Road Rage

Road RageGetting my lunch today I was a victim of what most of us call “road rage.” I define this as overly aggressive behavior that drivers demonstrate because of stress. Being that it is a Monday my guess is that this guy was stressed. Going down this back road the speed limit is 45mph. I was doing 45 and the girl in the next lane was also doing 45. After 3 minutes of tailgating the girl beside me, stressed out guy manages to freak her out and she speeds up just a tad. With enough space to cut me off he does just that, gives me the finger, and speeds off. I yelled at him, shook my fist in his direction, but my window was up. How rude. Then I started laughing,  how ironic it was for me to yell at him I participated in my own definition of road rage.

  1. That is so common. However, I too find myself yelling at the person I am accusing of roadrage.

  2. I Often think that everyone participates in road rage though it is very dangerous… Just stay calm… I often find that finding a safe place to pull over and doing so helps me to calm down. i think if everyone did this every now and then maybe it would reduce the number of car accidents caused by road rage.
