Radio superstars

Teddy BearI do it, you do it, and at some point in our driving lives we are all radio super stars. We hear our favorite song, or just a song that has a really great beat, something you can really move to. We’ve all been a radio superstar, and there’s no shame in that, but the truth is it can be a major distraction not only to ourselves but to other drivers.

Have you ever really been into a song, it’s your favorite, you dance and sing along to it and then you just happen to look over and there’s that car full of people just sitting in their car staring at you? Or even laughing at you and your funky dance moves? As much fun as it is to dance and sing to our favorite’s songs we have to remember that yes we are still driving on a road, no we are not in an amphitheater with thousands of our own screaming fans shouting “encore, encore!”

There are still other drivers on the road next to us, so the next time you turn up the radio and get the urge to go off in our own musical la la land just remember to be safe and pay attention to what’s going on around you, we wouldn’t want to run any of our would-be fans off the road.

  1. Driving is a privilege as well as a responsibility. Of course today’s movin’ music is going to make anybody rock to the beat and bob their heads, but we must remember that safety should always come before jamming out. Once in a while we have to remind ourselves to lower the music and pay a smidge more attention to the road.Turning the dial while turning the steering wheel is a sure recipe for disaster.

  2. Jamming out is fun but can def be a distraction. So just be careful :)
