Addiction

Texting has become an addiction – everywhere you go you see kids, teens, and adults on their phones texting. We text at dinner, during class, at work, during a movie and even while driving! I myself can’t help to look down at my phone when I see that I received a text but in that split second it takes to read that message I am putting my life and other drivers lives in danger. How many more people must be injured or killed before we as “texters” realize that to spare a life we must put down the phone and drive?

  1. I so agree. “texters” are often distracted while driving.

  2. so why is it so hard to put the phone down and drive??? Its an addiction, and its sad to see the death toll rise due to the “urgency” of a text message

    • I love these atrilecs. How many words can a wordsmith smith?

  3. There is no text message worth the life of someone. Just stop. Put the phone down and if you can’t stop put your phone in the truck until you curb your texting addition. No message is worth a life!

  4. i agree with lj to a point.. But by putting your phone in the trunk you risk not being able to get to it in an emergency..Just turn your phone on silent and turn it face down while driving. That way you wont know if you get a text or a call. This reducing your cell use and you are not as tempted because you dont see it light up.
