Teen Advisors meet in Dallas

The Teens in the Driver Seat (TDS) Teen Advisory Board (TAB) had their third in-person meeting on January 23, 2010. The meeting was held in Dallas, Texas at the Texas Transportation Institute Dallas office.

Five of the thirteen TAB members attended the meeting, including Oscar Cortez, Cori Hash, Brianda Reyes, Ashley Thompson and Albert Torres.

Major items of discussion at the meeting included:

• TDS Teen Advisory Board involvement at the NSSP Teen Leadership Conference in St. Louis, Missouri this summer,
• TAB contribution to discussions on t-driver.com,
• and promotion of the third annual Driving the Message Contest.

In part, the purpose of the Teen Advisory Board is to ensure ongoing input and feedback from representative teens. The TAB also serves to constantly strengthen the TDS program.
