Safe Teen Driving Week in Connecticut
Last week, December 7-12 was Safe Teen Driving week in Connecticut. Governor M. Jodi Rell announced the weeklong observance in order to spread the word about safe teen driving.
According to the Wilton Bulletin, during the week many different state and local agencies participated to “spotlight efforts of parents and teens to review their safety discussions and practices.”
Activities for the week included:
- High Schools around the state will be encouraged to involve their students and parents to participate in the week,
- Police departments will provide brochures on the new teen driving laws for teens and their parents, and
- The Department of Transportation will have rotating message signs on highways letting people know about Safe Teen Driving Week.
