Fernando Sosa

What are your hobbies?
I enjoy being in school before it starts until late in the afternoon. Most of my time there I spend doing extracurricular involvement or helping teachers and administrators. I also enjoy photography and journalism. Outside of school, I am active in a Church Youth Group. While at home, I spend a lot of time utilizing the computer.

Where do you see yourself in five years?
In five years I see myself as a college graduate with an internship in a federal intelligence agency. I hope to continue contributing to Teens in the Driver Seat.

What do you want to be when you’re older?
I am planning on majoring in criminal justice or political science with a minor in biology. I would like to work in a federal law enforcement agency. My last long-term goal is to become a politician with the support of the People.

If you could change one thing about the way your friends drive, what would it be?
If I could change one thing about the way my friends drive it would to avoid common distractions such as transporting too many young passengers and texting.

Why are you involved in Teens in the Driver Seat?
I am involved in Teens in the Driver Seat to help save lives by reaching out to young drivers and providing awareness on the risks of driving under a variety of potentially dangerous circumstances/conditions.

Fernando is an active member of the Teens in the Driver Seat 2009-2010 Teen Advisory Board.
