TDS receives national recognition

After the press conference last Monday, which reported that Texas is leading the nation in decreasing the number of teen fatal car crashes (due to the combination of graduated driver licensing laws and the Teens in the Driver Seat (TDS) program), TDS received a wave of recognition and media attention.

A variety of media covered the press conference and study, After GDL, what’s next – The role of peer influence in reducing car crashes among young drivers. From national markets, like the CBS Evening News, to local markets, such as The Victoria Advocate, TDS was cited as being a large contributing factor to the decrease in teen car crash deaths.

Even web blogs, such as Idrivefocused.com, (a product of ZoomSafer), were talking about the study results and how teens and peer influence are part of the solution to the problem:
