Being careful just isn’t enough

crash_treeJust because you’re being safe doesn’t mean a crash won’t happen to you. Driver inexperience is the underlying cause of teen car crashes.

A group of teens in Houston, Texas found this out the hard way last week when the car they were in crashed due to mechanical problems. The truck that was carrying a 19-year-old and 15-year-old passenger flipped and rolled several times.

Life Flight took both passengers to the hospital and the driver was taken by ambulance. If the driver of the truck had more experience, maybe he would have been able to keep the truck under control and prevent the crash.

So what can you learn from this? Even though driver inexperience is an underlying cause in teen car crashes, when you add in one of the top five major crash risks for teen drivers, it is an especially deadly combination.

So what can you do? Make sure that you take every effort to be safe while driving. Watch out for the five major-crash risks for teen drivers and check out t-driver.com for more driving safety tips.
