Save a life (and win $1,000 at the same time)
What would you say to your friends about safe driving if you knew it might save their life? Here’s your chance with the second annual Teens in the Driver Seat Driving the Message contest.
Send in your best video, poster and/or overall Teens in the Driver Seat school program for a chance to win up to $1,000. The only requirement is that your video message, poster or TDS school program must address the issue of safe driving by focusing on one or more of the five main driving risks for young people. Extra credit will be given if you include nighttime driving and/or buckling up in the backseat in your entry.
So what exactly are the rules?
- Video – develop a video (public service announcement) either 30 or 60 seconds long.
- Posters – Posters can be any size, up to 24-by-36 inches.
- Overall TDS School Program – Your program should be described completely, including your plan, goals, activities, special events, and anything else that you think makes your school’s TDS program the best.
The deadline for the contest is February 14, so hurry up and get your entries in! Judging will be based upon originality, creativity, and by how well you follow the messages that are central to the TDS program. The Driving the Message contest is sponsored by State Farm Insurance and the Texas Department of Transportation.
